After a week of fantastic racing, our two crews in the RC 44 Valencia Cup placed third and fourth. Team 17, with Jimmy Spithill and Anders Myralf splitting helm time, finished third after going 5-3 in the match racing and fleet racing portions of the event. BMW ORACLE Racing, helmed by Russell Coutts and Maxim Logutenko, placed 3-5 in the two halves of the event. In the event of a tiebreaker, the class ranks the fleet racing result ahead of the match racing.
It's now off to Cowes for the 1851 Cup next week versus Team Origin, but first some more of Gilles Martin-Raget's beautiful pictures from the Valencia Cup.
