The win for Ellison brings his record up to 2-0 over Spithill this year. More importantly, it contributed a valuable point to BMW ORACLE Racing's Round Robin record, at 6 and 3 for six points, it was good enough for second place in the match racing regatta.
Spithill's team '17' finished the match racing at 5 and 4, just one point back, but in fifth place.
