Long days on two continents

BMW ORACLE Racing team is waging campaigns on two continents this month. Here in San Diego, the testing programme continues for the BOR 90. On Tuesday, following two days dockside (Sunday was a day off, Monday a maintenance day), the sailing team left early for its testing session.

Dockout was at 0830, which meant loading the boat and other preparation started nearer 0700. With the time change over the weekend in the US, it now gets dark near 1700, so getting an early start is crucial. (Hopefully the sea breeze got the memo and kicks up an hour earlier too).

Meanwhile, in Nice, the sailing team for the Louis Vuitton Trophy was out on the water in a generally light breeze getting some work in ahead of racing, which is scheduled to start on November 7th.

We'll have updates from both San Diego and Nice all through the Louis Vuitton Trophy event.
